still has viability. After the passage of
time, then it may be repealed as obsolete.
The only other changes made are in style.

5-202. FOREST SERVICE CREATED AND CONTINUED.

THE FOREST SERVICE IS CREATED AND CONTINUED
WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language,
repetitive of section 1—102 of this
Article, yet conveniently restated here for
the Code user interested only in the
subject matter of this title.

By Chapter 348, Acts of 1972, the
Department of Forest and Parks and the
office of Director of that department were
abolished. No new statute was enacted to
establish a director of the Forest Service
or the Park Service, both of which were
created in lieu of the Department of Forest
and Parks. See Title 8, section 9-201 for
comparison wherein in the same chapter the
Water Resources Administration was created
and the position of director also was
retained in the statute.

5-203. PARK SERVICE CREATED AND CONTINUED.

THE PARK SERVICE IS CREATED AND CONTINUED WITHIN
THE DEPARTMENT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: See the revisor's note to the
preceding section for an explanation of
this section.

5-204. DEPARTMENT ADVISORY COMMISSIONS CREATED AND
CONTINUED.

(A)     FOREST ADVISORY COMMISSION CREATED AND
CONTINUED.—THE FOREST ADVISORY COMMISSION IS CREATED
AND CONTINUED WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT.

(B)     PARKS ADVISORY COMMISSION CREATED AND
CONTINUED.—THE PARKS ADVISORY COMMISSION IS CREATED
AND CONTINUED WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT.
