§2-403.
SEC. 2-402. PERSONNEL.

AN APPELLATE COURT MAY APPOINT THE LAW CLERKS,
STENOGRAPHERS, ANE OTHER FULL OR PART TIME EMPLOYEES
IT DEEMS NECESSARY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
derived from Art. 26, §§ 29 and 29A. The
provision authorizing the court to use the
services of a sheriff appear in §2-404. The
compensation provisions appear in §2—403.

SEC. 2-403. COMPENSATION.

THE CLERK, HIS DEPUTIES, AND OTHER EMPLOYEES OF
THE COURT SHALL RECEIVE THE COMPENSATION PROVIDED IN
THE STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section contains the
compensation provisions for appellate court
officers formerly appearing in Art. 26, §§
29 and 29A, and Art. 17, §§ 45 and 46A.

SEC. 2-404. ATTENDANCE BY SHERIFF.

AN APPELLATE COURT MAY DIRECT A SHERIFF TO ATTEND
THE COURT OR PERFORM SERVICES FOR THE COURT. FOR
SERVING AN APPELLATE COURT, THE SHERIFF OR HIS COUNTY
SHALL RECEIVE THE COMPENSATION SET BY THE COURT.

from Art. 26, §§ 29 and 29A.

SUBTITLE 5. COURTS OF GENERAL JURISDICTION.
SEC. 2-501. EMPLOYEES OF THE COURT.

(A)   PERSONNEL AUTHORIZED.

THE JUDGES OF THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR A COUNTY, OR
THE SUPREME BENCH OF BALTIMORE CITY BAY EMPLOY THE
COURT ADMINISTRATORS, ASSIGNMENT COMMISSIONERS,
AUDITORS, MASTERS, EXAMINERS, COURT REPORTERS,
MESSENGERS, BAILIFFS, COURT CRIERS, LIBRARIANS,
CLERKS, SECRETARIES, STENOGRAPHERS, JURY
COMMISSIONERS, LAW CLERKS, AND OTHER EMPLOYEES
NECESSARY TO CONDUCT THE BUSINESS OF THE COURT.

(B)   COMPENSATION AND DUTIES.
