SPIKE.

(E) FAT CRABS, SNOT CRABS, GREEN CRABS, AND
BUCKRAM CRABS.— A PERSON MAY NOT CATCH, POSSESS, OR
KEEP IN FLOATS ANY FAT CRABS, OR ANY CRAB KNOWN AS
SNOT CRAB, GREEN CRAB, OR BUCKRAM CRAB.

(C) EXCEPTION FOR FEMALE CRABS IN WORCESTER
COUNTY. - IN THE WATERS OF WORCESTER COUNTY, THE
MINIMUM SIZE OF CRABS DOES NOT APPLY TO MATURE FEMALE
CRABS, IDENTIFIED BY THE ROUNDED APRON.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Article 66C, section 326 of the Code. The
provision of section 326 providing that the
section applies to the waters of the State
is proposed for deletion since the
organizational format of Title 4 itself
makes this section applicable to all the
waters of the State unless otherwise
indicated. In addition, the penalty
provisions of section 326 are proposed for
deletion in light of the uniform penalty
provision of this title. The only other
changes made are in style.

4-810. RESTRICTIONS PERTAINING TO FEMALE CRABS.

THE DEPARTMENT MAY ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS,
AFTER REASONABLE NOTICE BY PUBLICATION, TO PERMIT OR
PROHIBIT CATCHING, CANNING, PACKING, SHIPPING, OR
POSSESSING THE EGG-BEARING FEMALE CRAB OR THE FEMALE
CRAB FROM WHICH EGGS HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Article 66C, section 325 of the Code. The
penalty provision is proposed for deletion
in light of the uniform penalty provision
of this title. The only other changes Bade
are in style.

4-811. RESTRICTIONS ON CATCHING CRABS BY LANDOWNERS
IN CHARLES COUNTY.

ANY OWNER OF TIDEWATER SHORELINE PROPERTY IN
CHARLES COUNTY MAY SET NOT MORE THAN FOUR CRAB POTS
ATTACHED TO HIS PIER OR DOCK, BY LINE, STRING OR ROPE,
OR ATTACHED TO A POLE SET [[NOR]] NOT MORE THAN 200
FEET FROM SHORE. THIS POLE SHALL BE CONSPICUOUSLY
MARKED BY COLORED TAPE OR SIMILAR MATERIAL AND SHALL
HAVE ON IT A SIGN AT LEAST SIX INCHES BY SIX INCHES
