Art. 26, §§ 50A and 50B are obsolete and
proposed for repeal; see the General
Revisor's Note following Title 1 of the
Courts Article contained in §1 of this bill.
SECTION 13. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That §43
of Art. 26, Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Repl.
Vol.), title "Courts", subtitle "Relief to Sheriffs
and Collectors - Extension of Time for Collection of
Fees and Taxes", be and it is hereby recodified and
renumbered as §69A of Art. 81 of said Code (1969 Repl.
Vol. as added to or amended by any law enacted at the
1973 regular session of the General Assembly), title
"Revenue and Taxes", subtitle "Collectors and
Collections", to be under the new subheading "Relief
to Sheriffs and Collectors — Extension of Time for
Collection of Fees and Taxes", and new §§ 69B, 69C and
69D be and they are hereby added to said Art. 81,
title, subtitle, and subheading as aforesaid, to read
as follows:
69B.
THE COURTS AND JUDGES AFORESAID MAY GRANT THE
RELIEF AND EXTENSION PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 69A TO
THE SUCCESSOR IN OFFICE OR OTHER PERSONS WHO SUCCEED
TO THE BIGHTS AND DUTIES OF A SHERIFF OR COLLECTOR.
