is allocated to the portion of Art. 21
dealing with land patents.
Art. 57, §§ 15 and 17 apply to tax sales in
Prince George's and Montgomery Counties,
respectively. They are allocated to the
portion cf Art. 31 dealing with tax sales.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That §33 of
Art. 25, Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Repl. Vol.) ,
title "County Commissioners", subtitle "Bonds of
County Officials"; §6(f) of Art. 27A of said Code
{1971 Repl. Vol. ana 1973 supplement), title "Public
Defender"; §13 of Art. 70 of said Code (1970 Repl.
Vol., 1972 Supplement), title "Official Oaths"; and
§2-102 of Art. 93 of said Code (1969 Repl. Vol., 1972
Supplement), title "Decedents' Estates", subtitle "The
Court", be and each is hereby repealed and re—enacted
with amendments, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 25
33.
When any county treasurer, tax collector, county
commissioner or any officer, EXCEPT A CLERK OF COURT
OR SHERIFF, coming within the common meaning of a
county official, in giving the bond required of him by
law, shall furnish a bond executed by a surety
company, authorized by the laws of the State of
Maryland to execute such bonds, and such bonds shall
be approved, then in each and every such case the
county may pay the premium for such bond, not in any
instance to exceed one half of one percent per annum
of the penalty cf the bond so executed and approved;
upon the execution and approval of any such bond the
county commissioners may direct the payment of such
premium on such bond from the general fund of the
county in the same manner as is prescribed for the
payment of general county debts; provided, however,
that when any such bond is given by a [clerk of
court,] register of wills, OR State's attorney [or
sheriff], the payment of the premium on said bond
shall be charged as an expense of any such officer.
