268                                            LAWS OF MARYLAND                                [Ch. 2

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 51, §4{d). Former §4(c) which dealt
with placing the plan into effect is proposed
for deletion, and the non-obsolete provisions
placed in this section. Subsection (a) was
inserted to deal with the possibility of a
new county and to resolve any ambiguity about
replacement of plans.

SEC. 8-204. AVAILABILITY OF VOTER REGISTRATION LISTS.

ANY STATE OR LOCAL OFFICIAL WHO HAS CUSTODY,
POSSESSION, OR CONTROL OF VOTER REGISTRATION LISTS
SHALL HAKE THE LISTS AND RECORDS AVAILABLE TO THE JURY
COMMISSIONER OR CLERKS FOR INSPECTION AND COPYING AT
ANY REASONABLE TIME. THE CIRCUIT COURT OF A COUNTY
UPON APPLICATION BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, MAY COMPEL
COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SECTION.

Art. 51, §4(e). The only changes made are in

SEC. 8-205. DRAWING OF NAMES FROM THE MASTER JURY
WHEEL.

(A)   DRAWING OF NAMES.

WHEN DIRECTED BY THE CIRCUIT COURT OF A COUNTY,
THE CLERK, THE JURY COMMISSIONER, OR A JUDGE OF THE
COURT SHALL PUBLICLY DRAW AT RANDOM FROM THE MASTER
JURY WHEEL THE NAMES OF AS MANY PERSONS AS ARE
REQUIRED FOR JURY SERVICE.

(B)   PREPARATION OF LIST.

THE CLERK OR JURY COMMISSIONER SHALL PREPARE AN
ALPHABETICAL LIST OF THE NAMES DRAWN, WHICH MAY NOT BE
DISCLOSED TO ANY PERSON EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THE
JUROR SELECTION PLAN OR §8-212 OF THIS TITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 51, §5 (a). It was separated from the
other provisions of that section because it
deals with a separate subject. The only
other changes made are in style.

SEC. 8-206. COMPLETION OF THE JUROR QUALIFICATION
FORM; PROXY; FAILURE TO RETURN FORM; QUESTIONING
JURORS' QUALIFICATIONS.
