IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER PENALTY PROVIDED BY THIS
ARTICLE, ANY PERSON CONVICTED OF SELLING OR ATTEMPTING
TO SELL TOBACCO GROWN OUTSIDE THE STATE AS
MARYLAND-GROWN TOBACCO IS SUBJECT TO A FINE OF TEN
CENTS PER POUND ON THE TOTAL AMOUNT SOLD OR ATTEMPTED
TO BE SOLD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
derived from the second sentence of Art. 48,
§69 of the Code. Language is added to
indicate that this penalty is in addition to
those set forth in the uniform penalty
provision of this Article.

Agriculture Article, the Governor's Commission to
Revise the Annotated Code considered the following

MEANINGS INDICATED.

a definition section.

(B)   "COMMITTEE" MEANS THE STATE SOIL CONSERVATION
COMMITTEE.
