MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                                      1331

EXCEPT WILD WATERFOWL OR FUR-BEARING MAMMALS, FOR
SHIPMENT WITHIN OR OUTSIDE THE STATE.

(B)     EXPORT OF WILD WATERFOWL. - A PERSON
DESIRING TO EXPORT WILD WATERFOWL FROM THE STATE SHALL
SHIP THEM IN THE OPEN, TIED BY HEAD OR FEET AND TAGGED
ACCORDINGLY, OR IN A CONTAINER, SLATTED SO THAT THE
BIRDS ARE VISIBLE. A PERSON MAY NOT EXPORT FROM THE
STATE IN ONE WEEK MORE THAN THE PRESCRIBED BAG LIMIT

(C)    SHIPMENT OF NONGAME BIRDS PROHIBITED. - A
PERSON ACTING AS A COMMON CARRIER, OR AN OFFICER,

CARRY, TAKE, OR TRANSPORT ANY NONGAME BIRD WITHIN OR
OUTSIDE THE STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) presently appears

possession limit. The phrase "without any
county, city or town" is proposed for
deletion and "within or outside the State"
is substituted therefor to better express
the apparent legislative intent which is to
prohibit the export of wetland game birds.

Subsection (b) presently appears as the
last provision of Article 66C, section
134(a). New language derived from section
134(c) is added for organizational
purposes.

Subsection (c) presently appears as Article
66C, section 139 of the Code and is set
forth here for organizational purposes.
The reference to "resident or migratory
wild" nongame birds is proposed for
deletion because the term nongame birds by

wild birds. The phrase "except as
