(1) For active service as a member of the armed forces of the United States.
(2) For agricultural labor (as defined in the Federal Internal Revenue Code
from time to time).
(3) For domestic service in a private home, local college club or local chapter of
a college fraternity or sorority.
(4) For services performed by a duly ordained, commissioned, or a licensed
minister of a church in the exercise of his ministry, or by a member of a religious
order in the exercise of duties required by such order.
(5) For active service as a member of the National Guard or other duly
established federal military reserve organizations.
Nonresident individuals employed as seamen OR SEA WOMEN upon vessels
engaged in oceanic and foreign trade or commerce while such vessels are within
any of the ports of this State.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to add new Section 579A to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Crimes and
Punishments," subtitle "I. Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Trespass,"
to follow immediately after Section 579 thereof, to prohibit unauthorized
persons from entering or remaining in the stable areas of race tracks after
having been notified to leave and to provide penalties therefor.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 579A be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "I. Crimes and
Punishments," subheading "Trespass." to follow immediately after Section 579
thereof, and to read as follows:
579A.
ANY UNAUTHORIZED PERSON WHO ENTERS OR REMAINS IN
THE STABLE AREA OF A RACE TRACK AFTER HAVING BEEN
NOTIFIED BY A RACE TRACK OFFICIAL, SECURITY GUARD, OR
POLICEMAN THAT HE IS NOT ALLOWED IN THAT AREA IS GUILTY
OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION THEREOF SHALL BE
SUBJECT TO A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($1,000.00), OR IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT MORE THAN SIX
MONTHS, OR BOTH FINE AND IMPRISONMENT.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
