(IV) SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT IV SHALL CONSIST OF
PRECINCTS 1 AND 2 OF ELECTION DISTRICT 16, ELECTION
DISTRICT 2 IN ITS ENTIRETY, AND PRECINCTS 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 AND 9 OF
ELECTION DISTRICT 20.
(V) SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT V SHALL CONSIST OF
ELECTION DISTRICTS 3, 7, 14 AND 15 IN THEIR ENTIRETY.
PRECINCTS 4 AND 5 OF ELECTION DISTRICT 20, AND PRECINCT 4
OF ELECTION DISTRICT 13.
(VI) SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT VI SHALL CONSIST OF
PRECINCTS 1, 2 AND 3 OF ELECTION DISTRICT 13, ELECTION
DISTRICT 18 IN ITS ENTIRETY, AND PRECINCT 8 OF ELECTION
DISTRICT 20.
(VII) SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT VII SHALL CONSIST OF
PRECINCTS 1,3,4,5,6,10,11,12, 15, 16 AND 17 OF ELECTION
DISTRICT 6.
(VIII) SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT VIII SHALL CONSIST OF
PRECINCTS 8, 9, AND 14 OF ELECTION DISTRICT 6 AND ELECTION
DISTRICT 12 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
(IX) SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT IX SHALL CONSIST OF
ELECTION DISTRICTS 4, 5, 8, 9, AND 11 IN THEIR ENTIRETY AND
PRECINCTS 2, 7 AND 13 OF ELECTION DISTRICT 6.
REDISTRICTING SHALL OCCUR EVERY TEN YEARS BEGINNING
IN 1981 BASED ON THE LATEST U.S. CENSUS DATA THE DISTRICTS
SHALL BE DIVIDED INTO THREE GROUPS: GROUP I SHALL CONSIST
OF DISTRICTS 1, 4 AND 7; AND GROUP II SHALL CONSIST OF
DISTRICTS 2, 5, AND 8; GROUP III SHALL CONSIST OF DISTRICTS 3, 6
AND 9. THE OFFICES HELD BY THE INCUMBENT MEMBERS OF THE
BOARD ORIGINALLY APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR, INCLUDING
THE TWO MEMBERS WHOSE TERMS EXPIRE ON JUNE 30, 1973,
SHALL CONTINUE UNTIL [[SEPTEMBER]] DECEMBER 3, 1973, AT
WHICH TIME THEY ARE ABOLISHED.
(2) ALL MEMBERS OF THE BOARD SHALL BE NOMINATED AND
ELECTED BY THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF [[THE ENTIRE COUNTY]]
THEIR RESPECTIVE DISTRICTS. [[FIVE (5) MEMBERS]] EACH
MEMBER, AT THE TIME OF THEIR ELECTION, SHALL EACH RESIDE
IN A DIFFERENT ONE OF THE [[FIVE COUNCILMANIC]] NINE
SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICTS OF THE COUNTY. [[THE FOUR (4)
AT-LARGE SEATS TO BE FILLED SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE A
SINGLE CONTEST.]] ANY MEMBER [[EXCEPT AN AT-LARGE
MEMBER]] WHO CEASES TO RESIDE IN THE [[COUNCILMANIC]]
SCHOOL BOARD DISTRICT FROM WHICH HE OR SHE WAS ELECTED
SHALL CEASE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE BOARD. ALL VOTING FOR
THE BOARD MEMBERS, EITHER IN A PRIMARY ELECTION OR IN A
GENERAL ELECTION SHALL BE CONDUCTED ON A NONPARTISAN
BASIS; NO DESIGNATION OF PARTY AFFILIATION SHALL BE
PLACED UPON ANY PETITION FOR NOMINATION; NOR UPON ANY
VOTING MACHINE OR PAPER BALLOT USED IN ANY PRIMARY OR
GENERAL ELECTION. THE BOARD SHALL ELECT THE CHAIRMAN
AND VICE-CHAIRMAN FROM AMONG ITS MEMBERS.
