626                                        LAWS OF MARYLAND                                Ch. 250

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 70 and 72 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Workmen's
Compensation," subtitle "State Accident Fund," be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, all to read as follows:

70.

There shall be as part of the Department of Personnel a "State Accident Fund,"
for the purpose of insuring employers against liability under this article [and to
their employees and their dependents the payment of the compensation specified in
this article]. THE STATE ACCIDENT FUND MAY ALSO ISSUE
EMPLOYER'S LIABILITY INSURANCE. Such fund shall consist of all
premiums or taxes received and paid into the fund and of property and securities
acquired and interest earned through the use of moneys belonging to the fund. Said
fund shall be applicable to the payment of losses sustained on account of insurance
and to the payment of expenses in the manner provided in this article. Within
ninety days after the close of each fiscal year of the State Accident Fund, the
commissioners thereof shall ascertain the expense incurred in conducting and
administering the State Accident Fund during said fiscal year, and shall authorize
in the same manner as other disbursements from the State Accident Fund are
authorized, the amount thereof to be transferred from said fund by the Treasurer
to the State treasury to reimburse the State for the moneys so appropriated and
expended in conducting and administering the State Accident Fund for such fiscal
year.

72.

Each employer insured in this fund or required to be insured therein by this
article AGAINST WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION AND AGAINST
EMPLOYERS' LIABILITY shall pay into the State treasury the premiums of
liability based upon and being such percentage of the payroll of such employer, as
may have been determined and published by the commissioners of the State
Accident Fund and be then in effect. The premiums shall be paid every four
months, or at such other times as the commissioners of the State Accident Fund
shall direct, and shall be the prescribed percentage of the total wages paid to all
employees subject to this article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(Senate Bill 853)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 3-9(a) and 3-17(a)(l)
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume
and 1972 Supplement), title "Election Code," subtitles "Registration of Voters -
General Provisions," and "Registration of Voters -- How and By Whom
Conducted"; to provide that notification of [[removal of a voter from 11 the
move of a voter without, as well as, within a district, ward or precinct of the
city or county be made by the voter and to provide procedures related
[[thereto ]] to reporting and notification.
