(C) ANY PERSON WHO LANDS, SELLS, OR ATTEMPTS TO LAND OR
SELL ON ANY DAY A QUANTITY OF OYSTERS EXCEEDING THE
DAILY CATCH LIMIT ESTABLISHED BY THE SECRETARY OF
NATURAL RESOURCES BY MORE THAN TEN PER CENT IS GUILTY
OF A MISDEMEANOR, AND SHALL, UPON CONVICTION, BE FINED
NOT LESS THAN $100. HOWEVER, A LICENSED OYSTER BUYER OR
DEALER SHALL NOT BE CONVICTED OF SELLING OR ATTEMPTING
TO SELL OYSTERS WHICH HE SHOWS WERE PURCHASED FROM
ANOTHER CATCHER OR CATCHERS THEREOF.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED. That this Act shall take
effect July I, 1973.

CHAPTER 228
(Senate Bill 514)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 223(b) of Article 56 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title "Licenses,"
subtitle "Real Estate Brokers," to [[provide that the fee for taking the written
examination in order to be a real estate broker or salesman be based on the
actual cost to the commission of giving the examination.]] change the fees for
the giving of the examination for real estate brokers and salesmen.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 223(b) of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title "Licenses," subtitle "Real Estate
Brokers," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

223.

(b) For taking any written examination in order to be a real estate broker
[[[]), a fee of [[sixteen dollars and fifty cents ($16.50), or]] TEN DOLLARS
($10.00) AND FOR real estate salesman, a fee of [ [eleven dollars and fifty cents
($11.50).] OR REAL ESTATE SALESMAN, A FEE EQUAL TO THE
ACTUAL COST TO THE COMMISSION OF GIVING THE
EXAMINATION. ]] FIVE DOLLARS ($5.00). IN ADDITION, APPLICANTS
TAKING EITHER EXAMINATION SHALL BE REQUIRED TO PAY
DIRECTLY TO THE TESTING SERVICE SELECTED BY THE
COMMISSION A FEE COVERING THE ACTUAL COST OF GIVING THE
EXAMINATION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
