All swinging and stationary scaffolding shall be so constructed as to bear three
times the maximum weight required to be dependent from or placed thereon when
in use, and not more than one [man] PERSON shall be allowed on a given
scaffold to each tackle and each [man] PERSON shall be provided with a life line
sufficiently strong to bear twice his weight, secured independently of the other
scaffolding.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(Senate Bill 616)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19(f) of Article 51 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Juries," to correct certain errors in the laws relating to
juries.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 19(f) of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Juries," is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
19.
(f) In Calvert, Charles, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties, [juror's]
JURORS shall in lieu of receiving a juror's salary receive ten dollars as expense
money for each day in attendance at a court as jurors, covering service up to the
hour of six o'clock p.m. on any day. An additional sum of five dollars shall be
paid as expense money if the service on any day extends beyond six o'clock p.m.
and up to nine o'clock p.m. A second additional sum of five dollars as expenses
shall be paid if the service on any day extends beyond nine o'clock p.m.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
