PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY
FIRE COMPANY. IT SHALL FORMULATE ANNUALLY ONE CAPITAL
BUDGET, ONE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, AND ONE
CURRENT EXPENSE BUDGET FOR ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE
COMPANIES WITH RESPECT TO THE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC
FUNDS, AND SHALL SUBMIT SAID BUDGETS AND PROGRAM,
TOGETHER WITH APPROPRIATE JUSTIFICATION, TO THE COUNTY
EXECUTIVE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
CHASTER.
MEMORANDUM OF STATEMENT AS TO REFERENDUM

Provided herewith is Council Bill 64-1972 which
proposed an amendment to the Prince George's County
Charter to change the legislative days applicable to
the Council sessions in said County. The question was
presented as Question A in the General Election held
in Prince George's County on November 7, 1972. The
result, as certified by the Board of Supervisors of
Elections for Prince George's County on November 9,
1972, shows that Question A carried by a vote of
98,751 for and 22,131 against.
There is further appended hereto a Petition for
Referendum to Amend Charter which would require a
referendum on acts authorizing bond issues or pledging
the County's full faith and credit to finance certain
capital projects. The result of said election on said
petition as certified aforesaid shows the amount of
votes cast for the question to be 82,578 and against
the question, 48,723.
The aforegoing statement is intended to comply
with the provisions of Article 25A, Section 7(d),
these being the only referenda held during the
immediately preceding year; and, there is no
referendum pending actually or potentially but not yet
held at the end of the year.
