SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new subsection (d) be and it is hereby added to Section 49 of
Article 96-1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume
and 1972 Supplement), title "Veterans," subtitle "War Orphans," to follow
immediately after Section 49(c) thereof, and to read as follows:
49.
(D) FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS SECTION THE TERM "CHILD-
SHALL INCLUDE A LEGITIMATE CHILD, AN ADOPTED CHILD, OR
STEPCHILD OF VETERANS ELIGIBLE UNDER THIS SECTION.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, without amendments. Section 7-302 of Article 93
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Decedents'
Estates," subtitle "Administration of the Estate," subheading "Accounting," to
re-enact without change a section in the probate laws concerning the initial
account of the administration of a decedent's property in order to eliminate a
possible question as to the present validity of this statute.
WHEREAS, Section 7-302 of Article 93 of the Code, being a portion of the
probate laws, was amended by Chapter 786 of the Acts of 1971; and
WHEREAS, This section was listed in the title of Chapter 786 of 1971 and
was set out in the body of the Act but was not listed in the enacting clause; and
WHEREAS, There may be some question about the validity of the 1971
amendment to this statute, and it is desirable to eliminate any possible question
concerning its present wording; now, therefore
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 7-302 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Decedents' Estates," subtitle "Administration
of the Estate," subheading "Accounting," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, without amendments, to read as follows:
7-302.
The initial account of the administration of the decedent's property shall contain
the personal representative's certificate of:
(a) The total value of property as shown in all inventories made prior to the
date of the account;
(b) All receipts of the estate during the period of administration;
