AN ACT to repeal and re—enact, with amendments.
Section 87-24 (a), title "Billing and Collection
of Refuse Disposal Charge," subtitle "Refuse
Disposal Charge," of Article II, title "Refuse
Disposal Service Charges," Montgomery County Code
1965, as amended, to authorize the County
Executive, by written regulation, to increase the
refuse charge for any particular type of refuse
that has a cost of disposal greater than the base
refuse charge or for which any other jurisdiction
in the Metropolitan-Washington, D.C. area is
charging more than the base disposal charge of
the County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL
OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 87-24 (a),
title "Billing and Collection of Refuse Disposal
Charge," subtitle "Refuse Disposal Charge," of Article
II, title "Refuse Disposal Service Charges,"
Montgomery County Code 1965, as amended, is hereby
amended to read as follows:

87—24. Billing and Collection of Refuse Disposal
Charge.

Refuse Disposal Charge.

(a) A base refuse disposal charge is herein
established, effective July 1, 1971, at the rate of
five dollars ($5.00) per ton for any and all types of
acceptable refuse delivered by any person or agency,
public or private, to the County refuse disposal
