THE PROVISIONS OF THIS TITLE APPLY, TO TAKE SUCH
ACTION AS IS NECESSARY TO CORRECT OR ABATE THE
EMERGENCY; OR, IF CIRCUMSTANCES WARRANT, MAY HIMSELF
ACT TO ABATE OR CORRECT IT. ANY APPEAL FILED BEFORE
THE HOUSING BOARD OF REVIEW SHALL IN NO CASE STAY THE
ABATEMENT OR CORRECTION OF SUCH EMERGENCY.
SECTION 7. This Act shall take effect on the
76th day following the date on which it becomes law.

AN ACT to repeal and re—enact, with amendments,
Section 76-22, title "Damages resulting from
attacks on livestock by hogs," of Article II,
title "Dogs and Cats," of Chapter 76, title
"Animals and Fowl," Montgomery County Code 1965
(as amended by Ordinance No. 6—20, Laws of
Montgomery County 1967), and to repeal and
re—enact, with amendments, Section 76—23, title
"Same — Injured person to apply to justice of the
peace," of Article II, title "Dogs and Cats," of
Chapter 76, title "Animals and Fowl," Montgomery
County Code 1965 (as amended by Ordinance No.
6—20, Laws of Montgomery County 1967), to
eliminate a separate "Dog License Fund"; to
provide that all monies arising from dog licenses
or taxes shall be kept in the general revenue
fund; to provide for application to the county by
the injured person; to provide for the
appointment of appraisers by the injured person,
the county, and the appraisers; and to generally
facilitate the application and settlement of
claims arising under these sections.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL
FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section 76-22,
title "Damages resulting from attacks on livestock by
dogs," of Article II, title "Dogs and Cats," of
