COUNTY LOCAL LAWS
The presence along any such highway, road or
street of the signs or markers mentioned in this
subheading shall be prima facie evidence of the
passage of the rules, orders and/or regulations herein
provided for. It shall be unlawful for any person
wilfully to deface, injure, move or interfere with any
sign, standard, post; safety zone, or any other
traffic directing device erected by the authority of
the County Council; or with any lines or marks painted
by authority of the said County Council on any
pavement, curb or roadway for the purpose of directing
traffic or parking of vehicles.
Sec- 2 1.104 - Same; penalties.
Any person violating any provisions of this
subheading, or any rule, order and/or regulation
passed by the County Council pursuant hereto, shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof before a justice of the peace of said county
shall be fined for each and every offense any sum not
less than One Dollar and not exceeding Twenty—five
Dollars.
Sec. 21.105 - Same; Severability.
In case it shall be judicially determined that
any word, phrase, clause, item, sentence, or section
of this subheading and/or any rule, order or
regulation passed by the County Council pursuant
hereto, or the application thereof to any person or
circumstance is held invalid, the remaining provisions
and the application of such provisions to other
persons or circumstances shall not be affected
thereby.
Sec. 21.106 — Vehicles; standing near fire hydrant.
No vehicle shall be permitted to stand within ten
(10) feet of any fire plug or fire hydrant in Howard
County unless such vehicle be in actual charge of a
person capable of running or operating the same.
Sec. 21.107 — Same; standing near engine house.
No vehicle shall be permitted to stand longer
than actually necessary to take on or discharge
passengers, baggage, merchandise or freight, in front
of or opposite to any fire engine house in Howard
County or within ten (10) feet of either side of any
