BALTIMORE COUNTY
(c) Before final approval of subdivisions the
director of public works may require, in accordance
with the subdivision regulations, the execution of a
public works agreement for any or all of the following
improvements it may deem necessary or appropriate:
Street grading, pavement, gutters, curbs, sidewalks,
[street lighting,] shade trees, surveyor's monuments,
water mains, culverts, storm sewers, sanitary sewers
or other means of sewage disposal, drainage
structures, local open space tracts and such other
subdivision improvements as the county may find
necessary in the public interest. THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS SHALL REVIEW AND APPROVE [[the necessary
design complete with underground distribution
facilities and installation of street lights that are
necessary to provide adequate illumination on all
streets and parking areas of the proposed subdivision.
This shall apply to all home construction other than
single family units. ]] THE SUBDIVISION PLAN, WHICH
MUST INCLUDE THE DESIGN OF UNDERGROUND DISTRIBUTION
FACILITIES FOR THE SUPPLY OF STREET LIGHTS. FAILURE
TO PROVIDE FOR ADEQUATE ILLUMINATION ON ALL STREETS
AND PARKING AREAS OF THE PROPOSED SUBDIVISION WILL
RESULT IN THE WITHHOLDING OF FINAL APPROVAL BY THE
DIRECTOR, PROVISION FOR STREET LIGHTING MUST ACCOMPANY
THE PLANS FOR ALL DEVELOPMENTS OF TWO OR MORE HOMES.
Section 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, that this
Act shall take effect forty-five days after its
enactment.

A TAX RESOLUTION to levy and impose a special
gross-receipts tax and a tax on admissions
without charge or at reduced rates on certain
admissions, the use of sporting or recreational
facilities or equipment and refreshments, service
or merchandise where a performance is furnished,
by adding new Sections 11—96 through 11—98 under
new Article XIII to the Baltimore County Code,
1968, title, "Finance and Taxation".
