AND SALE OF THE NOTES, BONDS, OR OTHER OBLIGATIONS
AUTHORIZED TO BE ISSUED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUB-PARAGRAPH.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(House Bill 1529)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 150(a-l) of Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Boards of License
Commissioners," to provide for an annual salary of $600 to the chairman and
$500 to the other members of the Board of License Commissioners.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 150(a-l) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "Boards of License Commissioners," is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
150.
(a-1) In Cecil County, the Board of County Commissioners shall appoint three
other persons, all of whom are to be of high moral character and possess a sound
reputation for integrity, who shall constitute the board of license commissioners for
the county; the members of the board shall designate their own chairman; the first
members of said board to be appointed for three-, four- and five-year terms,
respectively, and their successors thereafter for terms of five years each. The board
of license commissioners shall meet at least once a month. THE ANNUAL
SALARY OF THE CHAIRMAN SHALL BE SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS
($600) AND THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE OTHER COMMISSIONERS
SHALL BE FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500). [and each member shall
receive no compensation but [EACH shall ALSO be entitled to necessary expenses
in connection with [their] HIS duties to be paid by the Commissioners.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
