condition to render safe, adequate and convenient
public service. Failure to keep a taxicab in the
condition aforesaid shall he sufficient ground for the
revocation or suspension of the permit. Every taxicab
shall be equipped with a set of suitable SNOW TIRES
AND/OR chains for the driving wheels, which shall be
used thereon whenever there is snow or ice on the
streets. [These] SAID chains shall be so adjusted as
to cause as little noise as possible. When chains of
the so-called "jiffy" or other strap type are used,
not less than three sections, spaced approximately
uniformly around the tire, shall be used. Every
taxicab shall be equipped with front and rear bumpers.
EACH TAXICAB SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH A STANDARD
SPEEDOMETER, PROPERLY INSTALLED, MAINTAINED IN GOOD
WORKING ORDER AND EXPOSED TO VIEW. NO TAXICAB SHALL
BE OPERATED IN TAXI SERVICE WHILE SUCH SPEEDOMETER IS
OUT OF REPAIR OR DISCONNECTED.

Section 12-1334. Same - Records.

There shall be kept in the office of the [county
police department,] DEPARTMENT OF INSPECTIONS AND
PERMITS a complete record of each applicant license
issued to a driver and all renewals, suspensions and
revocations thereof, which shall be kept on file with
the original of the driver's or owner's application
for a license. [A copy shall be kept in the office of
the department of inspections and permits. ]

DEPARTMENT OF INSPECTIONS AND PERMITS all accidents on
a form provided by [the police department] SAID
DEPARTMENT. ]]

Section 12-1337. Rate Schedule.

(A) Each taximeter shall be set to register
fares on the following schedule of rates:

For each mile or fraction thereof...[$0.50 ]

$0.60

For each additional one—[quarter]
FIFTH mile after the first

mile............................... 10

For each service call............... [.10]

For any call answered [two] ONE
