is admissible evidence, [judgments and decrees, deeds and other papers
and] ANY JUDGMENT OR DECREE, DEED OR OTHER PAPER OR
proceedings required by law to be recorded [shall be considered records] IS A
RECORD within the meaning of this section.

(B)    [Short copies] A SHORT COPY of (judgments) A JUDGMENT or
[decrees] DECREE rendered by any court of record of this State, certified by the
clerk under the seal of the court, with the docket entries, [shall be] IS admissible
evidence in any other court in this State, to prove the recovery of [such] THE
judgment or decree]; and it shall not be], IT IS NOT necessary to produce a full
exemplified copy of the record in order to prove [such] THE judgment or decree.

(C)  WHEN A CLERK OF ANY COURT HAS REPLACED WORN AND
DILAPIDATED RECORDS IN HIS OFFICE, AND CERTIFIED THE NEW
RECORDS AS ACCURATE COPIES OF THE OLD ONES, THE NEW
RECORDS ARE SUBSTITUTED FOR AND BECOME THE RECORDS OF
THE COURT IN LIEU OF THE OLD RECORDS. THE CERTIFIED AND
SUBSTITUTED NEW RECORDS ARE ADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE TO THE
SAME EXTENT THE OLD ONES WERE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 173
(House Bill 1204)

AN ACT to repeal the following sections of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Charles County (1969 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, as from time to time replaced, amended and supplemented):
Sections 18 and 19 of the Code, title "Charles County," subtitle "Bridges";
Sections 88(c) and 92 of the Code, title "Charles County," subtitle "County
Treasurer"; Sections 121 and 122 of the Code, title "Charles County," subtitle
"Fences"; Sections 133 and 134 of the Code, title "Charles County," subtitle
"Hawks and Owls"; Section 373 of the Code, title "Charles County," subtitle
"Sewers"; to delete certain obsolete material from the Code of Public Local
Laws of Charles County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That the following sections of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Charles County (1969 Edition, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, as from time to time replaced, amended and supplemented), be and
they are hereby repealed: Sections 18 and 19 of the Code, title "Charles County,"
subtitle "Bridges"; Sections 88(c) and 92 of the Code, title "Charles County,"
subtitle "County Treasurer"; Sections 121 and 122 of the Code, title "Charles
County," subtitle "Fences"; Sections 133 and 134 of the Code, title "Charles
County," subtitle "Hawks and Owls"; Section 373 of the Code, title "Charles
County," subtitle "Sewers".

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
