AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
199 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent
County (1968 Edition and 1970 Supplement, being
Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Kent County", subtitle "County
Commissioners", to increase the amount of
appropriations to the Volunteer Fire Companies in
Kent County.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF KENT COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section
199 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Kent County
(1968 Edition and 1970 Supplement, being Article 15 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland) , title
"Kent County", subtitle "County Commissioners", be and
it is hereby repealed and re—enacted with amendments
to read as follows:
199. The County Commissioners of Kent County are
hereby authorized and directed to pay each and every
year the sum of $4,000.00 to the Betterton Volunteer
Fire Company, the sum of $4,000.00 to the Millington
Volunteer Fire Company, the sum of $4,000.00 to the
Galena Volunteer Fire Company, the sum of $5,500.00 to
the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company, the sum of
$4,000.00 to the Bock Hall Volunteer Fire Company, and
the sum of $4,000.00 to the Kennedyville Volunteer
Fire Company, and the County Commissioners are hereby
authorized to levy yearly upon the assessable property
of Kent County a rate of tax sufficient to produce the
sum or sums so to be annually paid to the said Fire
Companies.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KENT COUNTY,
MARYLAND, That this Act shall take effect on the 15th
