PROCLAMATION OF THE TOWN OF TRAPPE

WHEREAS, a Resolution for the annexation of certain areas of the Town of
Trappe was introduced by the legislative body of said Town, upon a petition filed
in accordance with Article 23A, Section 19(c).

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held thereon on August 25, 1971, in
accordance with Article 23A, Section 19(d), and the said Resolution, following the
public hearing, was enacted and approved by the Council of Trappe to become
effective on October 9, 1971.

WHEREAS, prior to the effective date there was a Petition filed by certain
persons which fully complied, after verification, with the provisions of Article 23A,
Section 19(f).

WHEREFORE, the Town of Trappe proclaims that the effective date of the
aforementioned Resolution is suspended, contingent upon the results of a
Referendum to be held in accordance with law.

ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION FOR ANNEXATION

WHEREAS, the Resolution to Annex certain lands to the Town of Trappe was
petitioned to referendum; and

WHEREAS, upon referendum held May 6, 1972, the Resolution was approved
by a majority of the voters eligible as set forth in Article 23A, Section 19 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland;

THEREFORE, in accordance with Article 23A, Section 19(k), the Resolution is
effective on May 20, 1972.

DESCRIPTION OF A SURVEY of land to be annexed by the TOWN OF

TRAPPE, Talbot County, Maryland:

Beginning for the same at a Concrete Monument at the southwest corner of the
land of Scott Methodist Church and the southwest corner of the Town of Trappe
and from said Place of Beginning running (1) by and with the southerly side of the
said Town of Trappe and crossing South Main Street and Maryland Highway No.
U.S. 50, South 73 degrees 41 minutes East 512.97 feet; thence (2) recrossing the
said Maryland Highway No. U.S. 50 and Grubin Neck Road, South 84 degrees 43
minutes 14 seconds West 466.99 feet to a Concrete Monument on the westerly side
