RESOLUTION NUMBER 72-04
A RESOLUTION adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23 A of Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition as amended) to repeal subsection C of Section 68-17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland (1968
Edition), titled "Seat Pleasant," Subtitled "Taxes," further subtitled "Tax rate,"
and to Enact in lieu thereof a new subsection to be known as Subsection (C) of
Section 68-17 of said Code, to stand in the place and stead of the subsection so
repealed, setting forth the tax rate.
SECTION 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
subsection (C) of Section 68-17 of the Code of Public Laws of Prince George's
County, Maryland (1968 Edition), titled "Seat Pleasant," subtitled "Taxes," and
further subtitled "Tax rate," said subsection also being Subsection (c) be and it is
hereby enacted in lieu thereof to stand in the place and stead of the subsection so
repealed, and to read as follows:
68-17 (c) Tax Rate. The Mayor and Common Council shall within 60 days after
receipt of the assessment list from the appropriate authorities of Prince
George's County, Maryland, fix the annual tax rate of said Town, said rate
at any time not to exceed one dollar per hundred dollars of assessed value.
BE IT FURTHER ENACTED AND ORDAINED, that this Resolution is
adopted this 14th day of February, 1972, and shall take effect on the 29th day of
February, 1972
