VOLUME OF THE 1957 EDITION), TITLE "CORPORATIONS
MUNICIPAL," TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF HAVRE
DE GRACE BY AMENDING SECTION 270 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC
LOCAL LAWS OF HARFORD COUNTY (1965 EDITION AND
AMENDMENTS THERETO).
Section 1. Be it resolved, ordained and enacted by the Mayor and City
Council of Havre de Grace, Maryland, that Section 270 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Harford County (1965 Edition), be amended to read as follows:
Section 270. Qualifications of voters. All citizens of the United States who have
attained the age of eighteen years on or before the date any municipal election is
held, and who have resided in the City at least ninety (90) days preceding any
municipal election and who are eligible to register in any State and County
election held under the provisions of the Public General Laws of Maryland, and
whose names shall appear upon the list of registered voters of the City as
hereinafter provided, shall be qualified voters of the City and are entitled to vote at
any election held under the provisions of this Charter.
Section 2. And be it further resolved, ordained and enacted that this resolution
or charter amendment shall become effective fifty (50) days from the date of the
enactment hereof, on this 2nd day of October, 1972, and that a copy be published
in at least one weekly newspaper of general circulation not less than four times at
weekly intervals within the period of at least forty (40) days after the adoption
hereof and provided that a copy hereof be posted at the City Hall during the
aforesaid forty (40) days period, subject to popular petition for referendum as
permitted by law.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on June 19, 1972, the City Council of Hyattsville, Maryland,
adopted a Resolution to amend Section 5-16 of the Hyattsville City Charter of
1967, further described and entitled "When taxes due, interest on overdue taxes,
collection of taxes". Said Resolution provided for posting and publication as required
by law; and
WHEREAS, due publication of the Resolution containing a fair summary of
the proposed Amendment has been made, as will be shown in the Certificate of
Publication from the Prince George's Post filed in the records of the City; and
