stone being a property marker of the Sisters of Charity; thence binding on the
property of the Sisters of Charity the following three courses and distances, (36)
south 71°07' 38" east 1138.52 ft. to a monument on the east side of U.S. Route
15, thence (37) south 77°48' 42" east 1463.43 ft. to a point, thence (38) north
80° 33' 53" east 857.57 ft. to a granite monument; thence (39) north 06° 22' 45"
east 475.61 ft. to a point; thence (40) 89 ° 03' east 644.54 ft. to a concrete
monument marked 28 near the south line of the property of the Emmitsburg
Development Company, thence (41) by straight line in a northeast direction 483.00
ft., more or less, to a point of beginning, and for sanitary purposes, health and police
powers, the power and authority of the corporation shall extend to the distance of one
mile from the boundaries as above set forth.

3.  Attached as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, a Resolution proposing the
change of boundaries as requested by petition.

4.  Attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof, a copy of Notice of
Proposed Annexation, appearing in the Emmitsburg Chronicle.

5.  Attached hereto as Exhibit "C" and made a part hereof. Resolution dated
the 6th day of November, 1972, annexing property within the boundaries of the
municipal corporation. Said Resolution becoming effective on January 8, 1973.
being at least forty-five days following its final enactment.

6.  That the new boundaries of said municipal corporation are as follows:

(1) south 64 degrees 39' 37" east 403 ft. to a pipe, thence (2) south 64 degrees
39' 37" east 383.62 ft. to a pipe, thence (3) by lands of Harry Swomley south 65
degrees 46' 11" east 540.38' to an iron pipe, thence (4) by lands of Mrs. Regis
Sanders North 21 degrees 43' 49" east 913.62' to a point on the southern boundary
of State Route 97, thence (5) by the southern boundary of Route 97 north 76
degrees 19' 20" west 506.14 ft. to a point, thence (6) by lands of Emmit Gardens
south 24 degrees 26'11 west 6.42 feet to a point, thence (7) with Route 97
in a westerly direction along the northern boundary of Emmit
Gardens 450 feet, more or less, to a point where the north boundary of Lot 27
(fronting on Meadow Lark Drive) intersects with a southerly extension of the
west side of the Harvey Road, thence (8) by a straight line north 46 degrees east
across Route 97 to the southwestern corner of the 13.692 acre tract of the "Three
D, Inc.", thence with the west side of the Harvey Road and the eastern boundary
of the "Three D, Inc." tract, (9) north 46 degrees east 551.87 ft. to a point, thence
(10) leaving said road north 44 degrees west 248.90 ft., thence with a curve to the
left having a radius of 1023.02 ft. and an arc distance of 583.64 ft. and a chord

thence (12) north 76 degrees 41' 16" west 420 ft. to a point on the west right of
way line of U.S. Route 15, thence with U.S. Route 15, (13) north 13 degrees 18'
