05" West 215.21 feet to a point in the center of the Emmitsburg-Waynesboro
Road, thence with said centerline (6) South 47 °11' 55" East 299.75 feet, to the
place of beginning, be added to the corporate limits of the Town of Emmitsburg,
Maryland.
AND, FURTHER RESOLVED that persons and property therein shall be
generally subject to the provisions of the Charter of the Town of Emmitsburg,
Maryland.

OF
THE BURGESS AND COMMISSIONERS OF EMMITSBURG
IN COMPLIANCE WITH ARTICLE 23A, Section 19(n) of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, the following REGISTRATION OF BOUNDARIES is
hereby certified to you, giving full information regarding the change in boundaries
and the annexation of certain territory by the TOWN OF EMMITSBURG, a
municipal corporation of the State of Maryland.
I, Richard M. Sprankle, hereby certify as follows:
1. That as Burgess, I am the chief executive and administrative officer of the
Town of Emmitsburg, a municipal corporation of the State of Maryland, which
has enlarged its corporate boundaries under the provisions of Article 23A, Section
19 of the Code of Maryland.
2. That the boundaries of said municipal corporation before the annexation were
as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pipe South 67°34' 24" east 17.91 ft. from the
southwest corner of Lot 6 fronting on Flat Run Drive and shown on the Plat of
Section 3 of "Emmit Gardens" dated October 1, 1962, and prepared by Elmer St.
C. Maxwell & Associates, Professional Engineers, said Plat being made a part of
this description and running from said beginning point, (1) south 64°39' 37" east
403 ft. to a pipe, thence (2) south 64° 39' 37" east 383.62 ft. to a pipe, thence (3)
north 24°26' 11" east 813.47 ft. along the eastern boundary of said Section 3 of
"Emmit Gardens", said boundary being also the western boundary of the land of
the Emmitsburg Civic Association, to a pipe in the south boundary of the State
Road Right-of-Way for Maryland Route 97, thence (4) with Route 97 in a
westerly direction along the northern boundary of Emmit Gardens 450 ft., more or
