(F) CONTRACTING FOR POLICE PROTECTION. THE MAYOR MAY,
IN HIS SOLE DISCRETION WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE TOWN
COUNCIL, CONTRACT WITH ANY BONA-FIDE STATE OR LOCAL
LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR POLICE PROTECTION WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF BRENTWOOD, BUT
NOTHING HEREIN CONTAINED SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO
PRECLUDE THE EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL TOWN POLICE FORCE
OPERATING CONCURRENTLY WITH SAID OTHER POLICE FORCE.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that any section or sections of
the Charter of the Town of Brentwood, Maryland, which are inconsistent with the
above enacted Section be and the same are hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Mayor
and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the aforegoing proposed
amendment shall be posted in the Town Hall for a period of at least forty (40) days
following its adoption, and shall further be published in the Prince George's Post once
in each of four successive weeks before the 12th day of August. 1972.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Mayor
and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the proposed amendment will
become and be considered a part of the Municipal Charter of the Town of Brentwood
on the 22nd day of August, 1972, unless a petition is filed pursuant to Article 23(A),
Section 13, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as amended, said
petition to be filed on or before the 12th day of August, 1972.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Mayor
and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, that the aforegiong Resolution and
Ordinance be and the same is hereby adopted this 3rd day of July, 1972, by the Mayor
and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland.
