OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE. MARYLAND

ENLARGING THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE
CITY OF BOWIE BY ANNEXING LAND CONTIGUOUS
AND ADJOINING THE EXISTING CORPORATE AREA

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bowie, a Municipal Corporation of the
State of Maryland, has determined to enlarge and extend the limits of the City of
Bowie by including therein a part of Prince George's County contiguous and
adjoining thereto in accordance with the procedure set forth in Section 19 of
Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
Amendments), said Article being Titled, "Corporations - Municipal," Section* 19
being a subheading, "Annexation"; and

WHEREAS, the proposal for change was requested by a written petition signed
by all owners of real property located in the area to be annexed; and

WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bowie has determined to initiate a
resolution, based on the aforementioned written petition, to enlarge and extend the
limits of the City of Bowie to include the hereinafter described area and to make
applicable to that area all laws of the State of Maryland applicable to the City of
Bowie and all existing charter provisions and ordinances of the City which are now
in force or may be hereafter enacted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Bowie, Maryland, in regular session assembled;

SECTION 1. That there is hereby annexed to the territory of the City of Bowie,
a Municipal Corporation, all of the land contiguous and adjoining to the existing
City of Bowie in Prince George's County, Maryland, described as follows:

All that parcel of land lying and being in the aforesaid County, recorded in
Liber 2191 at folio 150, described as follows:

Beginning at an iron pipe set, said pipe being the southwest corner of this tract
and being N.85° 22' 39"E 139.97' from a stone found at an angle in the north line
of Rockledge at Belair, Section 92, recorded in Plat Book W.W.W. 61 at plat 43
and N. 44° 58' 43" W. 0.58' from an angle iron bar found, also
being the southeast corner of the Maenner land; thence with same N. 44° 58' 43" W.
493.39' to an angle iron bar found; thence N. 12° 30' 41" W. 153,76" to a stone
found at the southwest corner of the Johnson & Harrod land; thence leaving
