THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Section 29: (a) of the Charter of the
Town of Berwyn Heights be amended to read:

"..... The budget shall be prepared and adopted on the FOURTH Tuesday of
June ..."

RESOLUTION STATEMENT

Amendment No. 1-72 to the Charter of the Town of Bladensburg.
"QUALIFICATIONS OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN"

Resolution of the Council of the Town of Bladensburg adopted pursuant to the
authority of Article XI E of the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of
Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 (1966 Replacement
Volume, 1971 Cumulative Supplement), title "Corporations - Municipal," to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 3-7 and 3-9 of the Charter of the
Town of Bladensburg, said amendments to (a) delete from the qualifications of the
Mayor and Councilmen the requirements to hold property and (b) specify the
minimum age of thirty-five (35) years for the Mayor and thirty (30) years for
Councilmen and (c) delete from the qualifications of Mayor and Councilmen the
requirement for two (2) years continuous residence.
