196                                        LAWS OF MARYLAND                                Ch. 125

Harbor Tunnel.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That new Section 120D is hereby added to Article 89B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "State Roads,"
subtitle "Bonds, Notes or Other Evidence of Indebtedness," subheading "Bridge,
Tunnel and Motorway Revenue Bonds," to follow immediately after Section 120C
thereof, and to read as follows:

120D.

(A) THE STATE ROADS COMMISSION AFTER STUDY SHALL
ERECT SIGNS AT ALL APPROACHES TO THE BALTIMORE HARBOR
TUNNEL, SOMETIMES KNOWN AS THE PATAPSCO TUNNEL, WHICH
WARN MOTORISTS APPROACHING THE TUNNEL THERE IS A
DELAY IN THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC THROUGH THE TUNNEL.
"APPROACHES" MEANS ALL ROADWAYS, RAMPS, BRIDGES,
OVERHEAD STRUCTURES, AND ENTRANCES USED AS ACCESS TO
THE TUNNEL.

(B) THE SIGNS PROVIDED FOR IN (A) ABOVE SHALL BE ERECTED
AT SUFFICIENT DISTANCES FROM THE TUNNEL TO PROVIDE
APPROACHING MOTORISTS A CHOICE OF ALTERNATIVE ROUTES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 126
(House Bill 86)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 260 of Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Crimes and
Punishments," subtitle "Crimes and Punishments," subheading "Gaming," to
provide a special license [[fee for bingo games in Baltimore City where the
value of any merchandise prize or the amount of any cash prize is a certain
amount or less. ]] on an annual basis and a special license fee for certain bingo
games in Baltimore City under certain circumstances and authorizing the Police
Commissioner of Baltimore City to issue regulations relating to bingo licenses.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section 260 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments," subtitle "Crimes
and Punishments," subheading "Gaming," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, and to read as follows:

260.

Nothing in this subtitle shall be construed to make it unlawful for any bona fide
fraternal, religious, patriotic, educational or charitable organization or any bona
fide fraternal, religious, patriotic, educational or charitable corporation to operate
or conduct a game of bingo in Baltimore City where no cash or prize of a greater
value than fifteen dollars ($15.00) is offered or given in any one game and where
