MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                                 1939

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, the State Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of Maryland on November 7, 1972,
an Act known as Chapter 364 of the Acts of 1972 was submitted to the voters of
the State of Maryland under the provisions of Article XIV of the Constitution of
the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:

AN ACT to propose an amendment to Section 36 of Article III of the
Constitution of Maryland, title "Legislative Department," modifying the
prohibition against the authorization of lotteries by the General Assembly in order
to provide an exception for lotteries operated by and for the benefit of the State,
and providing for the submission of this amendment to the qualified voters of the
State of Maryland for their adoption or rejection.

AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that at said election, 773,148 votes were
cast for the adoption of said Chapter 364 and 234,141 votes were cast against the
adoption of said Chapter 364, the said Chapter 364 of the Acts of 1972 has
therefore been ratified by the duly qualified voters of the State of Maryland.

of Election Laws of the State of Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this
30th day of November, In the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine Hundred
and Seventy-two.

1972, CHAPTER 366 - Denial of Rights Because of Sex

STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, the State Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of Maryland on November 7, 1972,
an Act known as Chapter 366 of the Acts of 1972 was submitted to the voters of
the State of Maryland under the provisions of Article XIV of the Constitution of
the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:

AN ACT to amend the Declaration of Rights of the Constitution of
Maryland, to add new ARTICLE 46, to state that equality of rights under the law
shall not be abridged or denied because of sex.

AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that at said election, 697,107 votes were
cast for the adoption of said Chapter 366 and 236,007 votes were cast against the
adoption of said Chapter 366, the said Chapter 366 of the Acts of 1972 has
therefore been ratified by the duly qualified voters of the State of Maryland.
