(b) Baltimore County, Maryland, shall be authorized and directed to levy and
pay to each assessor's aide of Baltimore County a salary as specified in the
compensation plan of Baltimore County, Maryland, from time to time, including
increments for time served and longevity specified for such grade, provided,
however, that service of assessors' aides as such prior to June 30, 1968, shall be
taken into consideration in determining the salary payable to each such assessor's
aide and provided further that the portion of said salary to be paid by the State
shall be limited to the amount provided in the schedule set forth in § 237 of this
article.]

The supervisor of assessments of Baltimore County is hereby authorized to
designate one member of his staff as a field supervisor. Baltimore County,
Maryland, shall be authorized and directed to levy and pay such field supervisor of
assessments of Baltimore County a salary as specified in the compensation plan of
Baltimore County, Maryland, from time to time, including increments for time
served and longevity specified for such grade, provided, however, that service of
such field supervisor of assessments prior to June 30, 1968, as field supervisor of
assessments, shall be taken into consideration in determining the salary payable to
him, and provided further that the portion of said salary to be paid by the State
shall be limited to the amount provided in § 237 of this article.]

(a) The County Council of Baltimore County, Maryland, shall upon
recommendation of the supervisor of assessments designate one of the county
assessors as assistant supervisor of assessments, and Baltimore County, Maryland,
shall be authorized and directed to levy and pay said assistant supervisor of
assessments an annual salary as specified in the compensation plan of Baltimore
County, Maryland, from time to time, including increments for time served and
longevity specified for such grade, provided, however, that the portion of said
salary to be paid by the State shall be limited to the amount prescribed in the
schedule set forth in §237 of this article, provided, however, that service prior to
June 1, 1968, shall be taken into consideration in determining the salary payable to
such assistant supervisor of assessments.]

Baltimore County, Maryland, shall be authorized and directed to levy and pay
to the supervisor of assessments of said county an annual salary as specified in the
compensation plan of Baltimore County, Maryland, from time to time, including
increments for time served and longevity specified for such grade, provided,
however, that the portion of said salary to be paid by the State shall be limited to
the amount as prescribed in the schedules set forth in §236 of this article, provided,
however, that service prior to June 1, 1968, shall be taken into consideration in
determining the salary payable to such supervisor of assessments.]
[241.
All assessor personnel in Montgomery County, by whatever title designated,
shall be considered for all purposes as Montgomery County merit system
employees and subject to all rules and regulations of the personnel board of
Montgomery County except where such rules and regulations are contrary to the
specific provisions of the laws of this State.]
