CHAPTER 99
(Senate Bill 669)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19(b) of Article 66A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Moving Pictures", to correct certain errors in the laws
relating to the review and approval or disapproval of films.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 19(b) of Article 66A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Moving
Pictures", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

19.

(b) Any person who shall sell, lease, lend, exhibit or use any film in this State
without having first secured approval thereof and a license therefor in accordance
with the procedures set forth in subsection (a) above, shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction summarily before a court, shall be sentenced to
pay a fine of not less than fifty ($50.00) dollars, nor more than one hundred
($100.00) dollars, or to imprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days, or to be
both fined and imprisoned in the discretion of the court. Except, no employee of
any individual, partnership, firm, association, corporation, or other legal entity
operating a theater which shows motion pictures, shall be subject to prosecution
under this section if the employee is not an officer thereof and has no financial
interest therein other than receiving salary and wages.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 30 of Article 89 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Division of Labor and Industry," subtitle "Occupational
Safety," to correct certain errors in the laws relating to occupational safety.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 30 of Article 89 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1969 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Division of Labor and
Industry," subtitle "Occupational Safety," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
