(D) ALL INSURERS INCLUDING NONPROFIT HEALTH SERVICE
PLANS OPERATING IN MARYLAND SHALL FURNISH SUCH
INFORMATION AS THE COMMISSIONER MAY REASONABLY
REQUIRE TO COMPILE, MAINTAIN, UP-DATE AND PUBLISH THE
NECESSARY DATA.

[[(D) (1) THE COST TO THE INSURANCE DIVISION IN
CONNECTION WITH THE COLLECTING, MAINTAINING, UP-DATING,
AND FURNISHING OF THIS DATA TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC SHALL
BE BORNE BY INSURERS WHO ISSUE POLICIES OF HEALTH,
ACCIDENT, OR GROUP AND BLANKET HEALTH INSURANCE.]]

(E)(1)THE COST TO THE INSURANCE DIVISION IN CONNECTION
WITH THE COLLECTING, MAINTAINING, UPDATING AND
FURNISHING OF THIS DATA, TO THE EXTENT SUCH COST IS NOT
COVERED BY THE CHARGES MADE FOR PRINTING AND MAILING,
SHALL BE BORNE BY INSURERS WHO ISSUE POLICIES OF HEALTH,
ACCIDENT, OR GROUP AND BLANKET HEALTH INSURANCE.

(2) EACH INSURER SHALL PAY THAT PORTION OF THE
TOTAL COST WHICH IS IN THE SAME RATIO AS PREMIUMS
RECEIVED BY THE INSURER IN RELATION TO THE TOTAL HEALTH
INSURANCE PREMIUMS IN THE STATE.

(3) THE TOTAL COST TO THE INSURANCE DIVISION AND
THE PORTION WHICH EACH INSURER MUST PAY SHALL BE
DETERMINED BY RULES ESTABLISHED BY THE COMMISSIONER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect [[July 1, 1973]] January 1, 1974.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 67 of Article 77A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland ([[[1969 Replacement Volume and]] 1972
Supplement), title "Higher Education," subtitle "Aid to Nonpublic Institutions
of Higher Education," to [[include, as a basis for computation of the amount
of annual apportionment to each qualifying institution, the number of certain
postgraduate degrees conferred during the preceding fiscal year. ]] provide for
State aid to private colleges based on the number of advanced degrees awarded
beyond the baccalaureate degree.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 67 of Article 77A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland ( [[1969 Replacement Volume and]] 1972 Supplement), title "Higher
Education," subtitle "Aid to Nonpublic Institutions of Higher Education," be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
