(7)       EACH FIRE DEPARTMENT, RESCUE SQUAD. ANNEX OR
SUB-STATION RECEIVING COUNTY FUNDS SHALL BE AUDITED
ANNUALLY AND ALL SUCH EXPENSES SHALL BE PAID BY THE
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, [are hereby authorized and directed to
appropriate annually to be distributed on a semi-annual basis, the corresponding
amounts to each of the following: (1) North Beach Volunteer Fire Department,
Inc. ten thousand dollars ($10,000); (2) Calvert County Volunteer Fire
Department, Inc., ten thousand dollars ($10,000); (3) Second District Rescue
Squad, Inc. eight thousand dollars ($8,000); (4) North Beach Rescue Division,
eight thousand dollars ($8,000); (5) Solomons Rescue Squad and Fire Department,
Inc., ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to the fire department and eight thousand
dollars ($8,000) to the Rescue Squad. In addition to the amounts above stated, in
an emergency and subject to the approval of the remaining companies above listed,
a company may request and the County Commissioners may grant additional
funds to a company.]

(8)   THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CALVERT COUNTY ARE
HEREBY EMPOWERED TO LEND MONETARY AID TO ANY FIRE
DEPARTMENT OR RESCUE SQUAD UPON THE RECOMMENDATION
OF THE CALVERT COUNTY FIRE AND RESCUE COMMISSION, AND
SUCH LOANS, SHALL BE_ MADE WITHOUT ANY PROFIT ACCRUING
TO THE COUNTY.

(B)     The County Commissioners shall appropriate annually the sum of two
thousand dollars ($2,000) to the Fair Board of Calvert County[, said] WITH THE
sum to be distributed on a semi-annual basis.

(C)    The County Commissioners [are further authorized to] MAY appropriate
[in an emergency] a sum to be determined by them to the Calvert County
Hospital. [Any expense of furnishing a certified public accountant's financial
statement to account for the appropriations herein provided shall be at the expense
of the County Commissioners of Calvert County.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1-125.1, 7-101(c),
10-107(a), and 13-105(b) of Article 66-1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Vehicle Laws",
subtitles, respectively, "Words and Phrases Defined"; "Required Security";
Accidents and Accident Reports", and "Inspection of Used Vehicles and
Warnings for Defective Equipment"; correcting errors in the laws relating
generally to motor vehicles.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 1-125.1, 7-101(c), 10-107(a), and 13-105(b) of
Article 66-1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume
and 1972 Supplement), title "Vehicle Laws", subtitles, respectively, "Words and
Phrases Defined"; "Required Security"; Accidents and Accident Reports", and
