5-704. Annual License fees.

(a) Every licensee shall pay an annual fee to the [[Department]]
ADMINISTRATION for each registration year or part thereof during which the
license is to be valid.

[[(b) The license fees to be charged and received by the Department for the
licenses issued under this part shall be as follows:

1.  Manufacturer $1.500.00

2.  Distributor               1.500.00

3.  Factory Branch           375.00]]

(B) THE AMOUNT OF THE LICENSE FEE SHALL BE BASED ON THE
COMBINED NUMBER OF CLASS A AND CLASS B VEHICLES
TRANSFERRED BY A MANUFACTURER OR DISTRIBUTOR TO
DEALERS IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND DURING THE PRECEDING
REGISTRATION YEAR, ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING
SCHEDULE:

1 TO 50 MOTOR VEHICLES [[$ 250.00]] $ 50,00

51 TO 500 MOTOR VEHICLES [[ 500,00]] 150,00

501 TO 10,000 MOTOR VEHICLES [[ 750,00]] 250,00

OVER 10.000 MOTOR VEHICLES [[ 1,500,00]] 500,00

A FACTORY BRANCH, AS DEFINED ELSEWHERE IN THIS ARTICLE,

SHALL PAY AN ANNUAL LICENSE FEE OF $375.00.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12-228(c) of Article 66
1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume), title
"Vehicle Laws," subtitle "Equipment of Vehicles," subheading "Lamps and
Other Lighting Equipment," to require the operation of flashing red signals by a
school bus driver when that bus is following a stopped school bus within a
certain distance during certain stops.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 12-228(c) of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle "Equipment
of Vehicles," subheading "Lamps and Other Lighting Equipment," be and it is
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
