(B)  THE AMOUNT OF AID GRANTED SHALL NOT EXCEED $500 PER
YEAR FOR EACH APPLICANT, AND SHALL BE PAID TO THE
INSTITUTION ON VOUCHERS APPROVED BY THE STATE
SCHOLARSHIP BOARD.

(C)     THE STATE SCHOLARSHIP BOARD MAY ADOPT AND
PROMULGATE RULES AND REGULATIONS AS REASONABLE AND
NECESSARY FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THIS SECTION.
HOWEVER, NEED SHALL BE A CRITERION FOR ANY AWARD MADE
UNDER THIS SECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to add new subsection (5) to Section 11-309 of Article 66-1/2 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle "11. Rules of the Road,"
subheading "Part III. Driving on Right Side of Roadway-Overtaking and
Passing-Use of Roadway," to follow immediately after Section 11-309(4)
thereof, to provide that certain vehicles may be required to be driven in certain
lanes of roadways [[having four]] or highways having two or more lanes for
traffic moving in one direction.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new subsection (5) be and it is hereby added to Section
11-309 of Article 66-1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle "11. Rules of the
Road," subheading "Part III. Driving on Right Side of Roadway-Overtaking and
Passing-Use of Roadway," to follow immediately after Section 11-309(4) thereof,
and to read as follows:

11-309.

(5) UPON ANY ROADWAY OR [[DIVIDED OR DUAL]] HIGHWAY
HAVING [[FOUR]] TWO OR MORE LANES FOR TRAFFIC MOVING IN
ONE DIRECTION, TRUCKS, TRUCK TRACTORS, TRAILERS, AND
BUSES MAY BE INSTRUCTED TO BE DRIVEN IN CERTAIN LANES,
AND DRIVERS OF THESE VEHICLES SHALL OBEY SUCH
INSTRUCTIONS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
