(vii) Section 342 (relating to breaking into building with intent to steal);

(viii) The common-law crime of assault when committed with intent to do great
bodily harm;

(ix) Sections 276 through 313D (relating to drugs and other dangerous
substances) as they shall be amended from time to time; and

(x) Section 36B (relating to handguns).

(2) Attempts to commit the offenses specified in the following sections of
Article 27 as they may be amended from time to time;

(i) Section 8 (relating to burning barracks, cribs, hay, corn, lumber, etc.; railway
cars, watercraft, vehicles, etc.);

(ii) Section 11 (relating to setting fire while perpetrating crime);

(iii) Section 111 (relating to destroying, injuring, etc., property of another);

(iv) Section 341 (relating to stealing goods worth less than $100.00);

(v) Section 342 (relating to breaking into a building with intent to steal);

(vi) Sections 276 through 313D (relating to drugs and other dangerous
substances), as they shall be amended from time to time.

(h) Nothing in this section shall deprive a person of the right to receive a
summons for traffic violation as provided in Article 66 1/2 of this Code as
amended from time to time or for a criminal violation, as provided by law or rule
of court.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 483
(Senate Bill 1131)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6-208 of Article 66
1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle "Subtitle 6. Drivers' Licenses,"
subheading "Part II. Cancellation, Refusal, Suspension or Revocation of
Licenses"; to provide that an application for reinstatement of a driver's license
or privilege which has been revoked may be made immediately but that a new
license may not be issued before the expiration of 60 days from the date of such
revocation under certain conditions; and to make certain corrections therein.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 6-208 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Vehicle
Laws," subtitle "Subtitle 6. Drivers' Licenses," subheading "Part II. Cancellation,
Refusal, Suspension or Revocation of Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
