Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 25(f) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Health," subtitle "Vital Rec-
ords," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

25.

(f) For each certified or abridged copy of a birth, death, fetal
death, or marriage certificate, or for a report that, after search,
the requested record was found to be not on file, the [State Board]
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene shall collect a fee of two
dollars ($2.00) for [the first copy and one dollar ($1.00) for each
additional copy of the same record issued at the same time,] each
copy
to be paid to the State Treasurer.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 314
(House Bill 926)

AN ACT to add new Section 330 to Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume), title "Natural
Resources," subtitle "Fish and Fisheries," subheading "Crabs,
Lobster and Terrapins," to follow immediately after Section 329
thereof; to provide for licensing of and to limit the number and
use of crab pots by owners of shoreline, tidewater property in
Charles County; and generally relating thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 330 be and it is hereby added to Article 66C of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume), title
"Natural Resources," subtitle "Fish and Fisheries," subheading
"Crabs, Lobster and Terrapins," to follow immediately after Section
329 thereof; and to read as follows:

330.

(a) In Charles County, any ANY owner of TIDEWATER shore-
line property in tidewater CHARLES COUNTY may set not more
than four (4) crab pots attached to an owner's pier or dock, by line,
string or rope, or attached to a pole set not more than two hundred
(200) feet from shore. This pole shall be conspicuously marked by
colored tape or similar material AND SHALL HAVE ON IT A SIGN
AT LEAST SIX INCHES BY SIX INCHES INDICATING THE
OWNER'S NAME AND ADDRESS. Pots may be set any day or
night during the crab season when the shore owner or a member of
his family is residing at the owner's shore property. Crabs caught
in this manner are for personal use only and shall not be sold. THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL NOT APPLY IN THE
POTOMAC RIVER.
