during the continuance thereof, but not to exceed a maximum of
[fifty five] seventy-eight dollars per week for the first forty-two days
of actual temporary total disability. For any period of actual tempo-
rary total disability in excess of forty-two days duration in the
aggregate, he shall receive two thirds of his average weekly wage,
not to exceed a maximum of sixty-six and two-thirds per centum
of the average weekly wage of the State of Maryland as determined
by the Department of Employment Security. The Department of
Employment Security shall report the average weekly wage of the
State of Maryland as of July 1, to the Workmen's Compensation Com-
mission no later than December 15 of each year. The average weekly
wage used for 1968 shall be that average weekly wage established by
the Department of Employment Security as of July 1, 1967. In no case
shall the employee receive less than a minimum of twenty-five dollars
per week unless the employee's established weekly wages are less
than twenty-five dollars per week at the time of the injury, in which
event he shall receive compensation equal to his weekly wages.
Nothing in this subsection shall be construed or applied to affect or
change the law as to any such injury or strain which occurred prior to
the effective date of this subsection. This section shall only apply to
injuries occurring on or after July 1, [1968] 1972.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

(House Bill 745)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 53, 54,
55, 58(a) and (c), 60, 62, 65 and 70 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of St. Mary's County (1965 Edition, being Article 19 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "St. Mary's County,"
subtitle "Electrical Examiners," to provide in St. Mary's County,
for a new method of selecting the Board of Electrical Examiners;
for a new method of selecting the officers of the Board; to change
the method of compensation for the Board; to set a fee for a mas-
ter's electricians license; to have the Board establish the rules, regu-
lations and bylaws for license renewal; to provide for a bond; to
increase the fine for practicing without a license; and to provide
that cut-in certificates must be sent to the contractor or owner who
shall submit them to the electrical company; and generally relating
to electrical examiners in St. Mary's County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 53, 54, 55, 58(a) and (c), 60, 62, 65 and 70 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County (1965 Edition, being Art-
icle 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "St.
Mary's County," subtitle "Electrical Examiners," be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
