lishing the qualifications for certain members of the Board of
Examiners for Hearing Aid Dealers.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 750(b) of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1971 Replacement Volume), title "Health," subtitle "Hearing
Aids," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

750.

(b) Members of the Board shall be residents of this State. One
member shall be a person licensed to practice medicine in this State
and shall hold a certificate of qualification from the American Board
of Otolaryngology. One member shall have at least four years of
paid work experience in audiology, shall hold a certificate of clinical
competence in audiology from the American Speech and Hearing
Association and shall be a member in good standing of that Asso-
ciation. Three members shall be persons experienced in the sale of
hearing aids, shall possess the qualifications provided in Section
[723(c)] 741, and shall be recommended by the Maryland members
of the Hearing Aid Dealers Association of Maryland, District of
Columbia and Delaware. All persons appointed to the Board after
the date on which the Board first issues a certificate of license, as
provided in Section 742 (c), shall be persons who hold valid certifi-
cates of license. No member of the Board shall be a member or
employee of the State Board of Health and Mental Hygiene, or its
departments.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 219
(Senate Bill 564)

AN ACT to add new Section 14-3 to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Frederick County (1959 Edition, being Article 11 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Frederick County,"
subtitle "Chapter 14. Schools and Education," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 14-2 thereof, to require the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick County and the Frederick County Board
of Education to provide educational programs, transportation and
facilities for retarded and handicapped children.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 14-3 be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Frederick County (1959 Edition, being Article 11 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Frederick
County," subtitle "Chapter 14. Schools and Education," to follow
immediately after Section 14-2 thereof, and to read as follows:
