SECTION 73. And be it further enacted, That if this Act is enacted
the Revisor's Notes appended to the various sections of the Act shall
not become law or be deemed to have been enacted as a part of the Act.
Section 74. And be it further enacted, That section headings
contained in this Act do not govern, limit, modify or in any manner
affect the scope, meaning, or intent of the provisions of any section
amended or added by this Act.
Section 75. And be it further enacted, That any law enacted by
the 1972 regular session of the General Assembly to amend, repeal,
or add any provision of law which is amended, repealed, or added
by this Act shall be construed and codified together with this Act,
and each shall be given effect, if possible, and with due regard to the
title of each. If the Acts are irreconcilable and cannot be construed
together, then the other Act shall prevail over anything inconsistent
therewith in this Act.
Section 76. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on July 1, 1972.

AN ACT to add new Sections 53A through 53D, inclusive, to Article
40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume),
title "General Assembly," subtitle "Department of Legislative Ref-
erence," to follow immediately after Section 53 thereof and to be
under the new subheading "Revisor of Statutes," creating the Di-
vision of Statutory Revision within the Department of Legislative
Reference; providing generally for its duties, powers, functions,
operations, and employees; transferring the properties and staff
personnel of the Commission to Revise the Annotated Code to the
Division of Statutory Revision; and providing for the details of this
transfer.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 53A through 53D, inclusive, be and they are
hereby added to Article 40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume), title "General Assembly," subtitle "Depart-
ment of Legislative Reference," to follow immediately after Section
53 thereof, to be under the new subheading "Revisor of Statutes," and
all to read as follows:
REVISOR OF STATUTES
53A. Division of Statutory Revision created.
The Division of Statutory Revision is created within the Depart-
ment of Legislative Reference. It shall provide continuous full-time
formal statutory revision services for the General Assembly and
have the duties, powers, functions, officers, consultants, and em-
ployees provided in this subheading.
