not less than $25.00 nor more than $200.00 and costs for each and
every offense in addition to the forfeitures provided for elsewhere
in this subheading. [The fines and forfeitures recovered for vio-
lation of this subheading] Any fine imposed under this section
shall be collected pursuant to the provisions of Article 26,
§ 155; how-
ever, if the fine is imposed by the circuit court of any county or the
Criminal Court of Baltimore, as the case may be, the fine when col-
lected
shall be paid over to the State Comptroller and credited to the
Conservation Fund.

§ 329. Same—Public hearing.

No such rules or regulations of the Department of Chesapeake Bay
Affairs shall become effective under § 328 until said Department has
held public hearings on same, and such public hearings shall be ad-
vertised as to time, place and purpose in one newspaper of general
daily circulation in the State, and at least in two newspapers circu-
lated in the tidewater counties for two successive weeks in advance
of said hearings. After such hearings and upon adoption of such rules
and regulations, the same shall be published for one week in the news-
papers bearing notice of the hearing and shall thereafter have all the
force and effect of law. Any person or persons found guilty before
[a justice of the peace qualified to try same, or before] any court
[on appeal,] of violating any such rules and regulations, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and be fined not less than $10.00, nor
more than $100.00 in the case of any person or persons taking or
catching crabs, and not less than $10.00, nor more than $100.00 in the
case of any buyer, packer, or shipper of crabs.

§ 332. Penalty.

Any person violating the provisions of any section of this subhead-
ing shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction before
any [justice of the peace qualified to try same] court, shall be fined
not less than $10.00 nor more than $100.00 [and shall stand com-
mitted to the county jail or the Baltimore City jail until such fine
and costs are paid]. All fines and costs shall be paid in accordance
with Article 38
§ 4.

§ 341. Penalty.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this subheading shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction before any
[justice of the peace of this State] court, shall be fined not less than
fifty ($50) dollars nor more than one hundred ($100) dollars for
each and every offense, and in addition to said fine, shall be fined
five ($5) dollars for each and every terrapin found in possession in
violation of this subheading. [Any person who shall fail to pay the
fine so imposed, shall stand committed to jail until the fine and costs
shall have been paid; however, said sentence shall not exceed one day
for each dollar so imposed.

Any person other than the Director of the Game and Inland Fish
Commission, deputy game warden or employees receiving com-
pensation from the Commission of Tidewater Fisheries of Maryland,
who shall procure the conviction of any person violating any provision
or provisions of this subheading, shall receive one half of the fine
