Sec. 7. And be it further enacted, That until all of the interest
on and principal of any bonds issued under this Act shall have been
paid in full, there is hereby levied and imposed an annual State tax
on each $100 of assessable property at the rate to be determined
in the following manner: on or before May 1, 1973, and on or
before May 1 in each taxable year thereafter, the Board of Public
Works shall certify to the governing bodies of each of the counties
and Baltimore City the rate of State tax on each $100 of assessable
property necessary to produce revenue to meet interest and prin-
cipal which will be payable to the close of the next ensuing taxable
year on all bonds theretofore issued or authorized by resolution of
the Board of Public Works to be issued, and the governing bodies
of each of the counties and of Baltimore City shall forthwith levy
and collect such tax at such rate.
All matters committed by this Act to the discretion of the Board
of Public Works shall be determined by a majority of said Board.
Sec. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1972.

(Senate Bill 303)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 68 (j) of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Supplement),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Renewal of Licenses," to
change a reference therein from "bureau of assessments" to
"Director of Finance." CORRECT THE NAME OF THE BAL-
TIMORE CITY AGENCY WHICH CERTIFIES PAYMENT OF
TAXES FOR RENEWAL OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LI-
CENSES IN THE CITY.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 68 (j) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1971 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Re-
newal of Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
68.
(j) In Baltimore City, unless a licensee presents to the board of
liquor license commissioners by June 30 of the respective year, a
certificate issued by the [bureau of assessments] Director of Finance,
showing that there are no unpaid taxes on the merchandise, fixtures
and stock of the applicant due to the City of Baltimore or the State
of Maryland, his renewal license shall be immediately suspended
without a hearing but thereafter shall be immediately returned with-
out a hearing upon presentation of such a certificate.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.
