(c)    Contents; conformity with permit; expiration upon non-
commencement of work, etc. Each permit shall describe with par-
ticularity the installation to be done thereunder and no person shall
install any electrical equipment other than in accordance with the
permit. All permits shall expire and be null and void unless the
work authorized thereunder is commenced within six months from the
date of issuance; provided, that the Department may upon good
cause shown extend a permit one or more times for periods not ex-
ceeding sixty (60) days.

(d)     Repairs, etc. No permit shall be required to repair port-
able electrical equipment or lighting fixtures, or to repair or replace
sockets, receptacles or snap switches, or to make other minor repairs
at existing outlets, or to repair motors, or to replace motors with
motors of the same horsepower rating.

83-25. Same—Emergency Work, Etc.

When necessary to make emergency repairs or replacements to
electrical installations, or to make branch circuit extensions for
switches, receptacles or the like, incidental to such emergency work,
such work may be done without a permit; provided, that the person
doing the same shall first inform the Department of Inspection and
Licenses either orally or in writing if the department's office is open
at the time of such emergency, giving his name and address and the
address where the work is to be done, the nature thereof and when
it is to be started. Such person shall file an application for a permit
covering such emergency work on the first business day following the
performance thereof.

83-26. Same—Temporary Installations.

A temporary permit shall be required in connection with elec-
trical equipment installed for a temporary use for a period not to
exceed six months. Such permit may be extended for an additional
period of six months by the Department of Inspection and Licenses.

83-27. Same—Schedule of Fees.

Prior to the issuance of any permit, the applicant therefor shall
pay to Montgomery County, Maryland, a fee in accordance with the
schedule of fees established by this Section. The schedule established
by this section and the particular fees enumerated therein may be
revised from time to time by the County Executive to an amount
not to exceed the cost of administering and enforcing the Electrical
Code.

The minimum fee for a permit is $3.00.
