2806                            County Local Laws

4. Any corporate bond delivered to the County pursuant to
this section shall be executed by a surety or guaranty company quali-
fied to transact business in Maryland. Any such bond shall expire on
the thirtieth day of June next following the date such bond was exe-
cuted. A licensee with a master electrician's or master electrician's
limited license who is the regular employee of a plant, factory, apart-
ment, or other similar public occupance and who performs no electrical
work for the public shall not be required to be bonded under this sec-
tion. The bond shall run to the County and shall be conditioned that the
licensee shall perform all work done by him, his agents, and employees
in this County in accordance with the County Electrical Code. Any
person who believes himself damaged by failure of the licensee to
comply with the County Electrical Code may proceed against such
bond.

(b)    An applicant for a business license shall furnish a certifi-
cate from an insurance company qualified to do business in the State
of Maryland of public liability insurance in the amount of $25,000.00
coverage for death or personal injury of one individual; $100,000.00
coverage for death or personal injury of two or more individuals and
$25,000.00 coverage for property damage, which insurance shall pro-
vide coverage for work done under any permit issued hereunder by
Montgomery County, Maryland, and shall include coverage for both
premises operations and completed operations. Such liability insur-
ance shall state that the coverage therein provided for shall remain
in full force and effect until thirty days following the date written
notice of cancellation or failure to renew is given by the insurance
carrier or its authorized agent to Montgomery County and any certifi-
cate of insurance furnished pursuant to this Section shall provide
for such coverage.

(c)    Each license and renewal of same shall be in force and effect
only as long as the approved bond and insurance certificates that
have been filed with the Board, in accordance with the provisions of
this Article, shall remain in full force and effect. Every such license
or renewal of same shall become void and of no effect should any
such bond or insurance contract become inoperative, ineffective or
cancelled, regardless of the regular date of expiration of said license.

83-12. Term of License Renewals.

(a) Licenses issued under this Article shall be valid for one
year and become effective upon date of issue, except as otherwise
provided by this Article. Renewal of all licenses issued after January 1
of a calendar year shall require one-half the prescribed yearly fee.
All licenses shall expire on June 30 of each year and renewals there-
after shall be effective July 1 through June 30 of each year. Applicants
for renewal of license shall pay to Montgomery County, Maryland, a
fee of $15.00 for a business license, $15.00 for a master electrician's
license and a fee of $10.00 for a master electrician's limited license, or
