CHAPTER 19

AN ACT to amend Chapter 18, title, "Police," of the Montgomery
County Code, 1965, as amended, by repealing and re-enacting,
with amendments, Section 18-2, title, "Superintendent under
supervision of county executive," to provide that the Superin-
tendent of Police be under the direct supervision of the Director
of the Department of Police.

Be It Enacted by the County Council for Montgomery County,
Maryland, that—

Sec. 1. Section 18-2, Chapter 18, title "Police," of the Mont-
gomery County Code 1965, as amended, is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

18-2. Superintendent under supervision of Director of the Depart-
ment of Police.

The Superintendent of the County Police shall at all times be
under the supervision and order of the Director of the Department of
Police.

Sec. 2. Effective date.

This Act shall take effect on December 7, 1970.

AN ACT to amend Chapter 22, titled, "Sewers, Sewage Disposal and
Drainage," of the Montgomery County Code 1965, by repealing,
in their entirety, Sections 22-1, titled "Definitions," 22-2, titled
"Sewerage and drainage commission—Designated; compensation
of members; secretary; meetings; records, etc.," 22-3, titled
"Same—Powers and duties generally; rules and regulations;
penalty for violation of regulations," 22-4, titled "Same—Spe-
cific powers enumerated," 22-5, titled "Same—Maps, surveys and
plans for sewerage and drainage districts to be prepared; infor-
mation to be shown," 22-6, titled "Construction of facilities—
Issuance of bonds generally—Procedure, etc.," 22-7, titled "Same
—Payment by front foot assessment," 22-8, titled "Same—Pay-
ment by owners of property," 22-9, titled "Purchase of private
systems generally," 22-10, titled "Issuance of bonds generally—
Procedure, etc.," 22-11, titled "Same—Deposit, handling and
disposition of proceeds," 22-12, titled "Same—Competitive bid-
ding for construction of system," 22-13, titled "Same—To be
paid by drainage tax; tax levy, collection, records, etc.," 22-14,
