sion," to provide in St. Mary's County for a new method of selecting
the members of the Youth Commission and generally relating there-
to.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 212 (b) and (c) of the Code of Public Local Laws of St.
Mary's County (1965 Edition, being Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "St. Mary's County," subtitle "Youth
Commission," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
212.
(b) [The membership shall consist of 15 persons, one of whom the
membership shall designate as chairman.] The membership shall
consist of the designated members as set out in subparagraph (c)
herein and such other members as the designated members may ap-
point. The Youth Commission shall elect its own Chairman.
(c) Designated members of the Youth Commission shall be: a
representative of the Superintendent of Schools for the County [,] ;
a representative of the Director of the County Welfare Board [,]; a
representative of the County Health Officer [,]; a representative of
the Commanding Officer, Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Mary-
land [,]; a representative of the President of the County Ministerial
Association or Ms designee; [,] the Dean of the Catholic Clergy of
the [county] County or his designee; [,] the ranking office of the
State Police Detachment or his designee; [,] a member of the Board
of County Commissioners or its designee; [,] the State's Attorney for
the County [and the County Probation Officer.] or his designee and
the County Juvenile Services or its designee. [The remaining five
members shall be selected by the designated members and shall be
citizens of the county, not employees of the Commission, who play
an active part in providing services for youth.] The remaining mem-

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1972.

CHAPTER 61
(House Bill 783)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 237(e)
of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement
Volume), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "State Department of
Assessments and Taxation," to provide that in Charles County the
county shall levy and pay a certain sum toward the salaries of cer-
tain employees of the assessor's office.
